Their lives have been deeply impacted by the devastation of Hurricane Helene, which has torn through Asheville and left their antiques business in ruins. The building they operated from has been destroyed, resulting in the loss of their entire inventory and, consequently, their source of income.

With Asheville currently facing severe challenges, including power outages, limited access to clean water, and impassable roads, Katherine and Anthony are in urgent need of assistance. They are hoping to raise $9,000 to cover three months of basic living expenses as they navigate this difficult period and seek new sources of income.

The Situation:

Total Loss: Their business and inventory are gone.

No Income: Without their business, they have no means to support themselves.

Community Challenges: Most businesses are closed, and essential services like water and electricity are still out. It may take 4-6 weeks for water services to be restored.

Despite facing their own hardships, Katherine and Anthony have shown incredible resilience and generosity. They have been actively volunteering in the community, helping search for missing individuals in the aftermath of the hurricane. Even as they struggle with daily challenges—like finding places to shower and wash their laundry - they continue to go out of their way to help neighbors. She mentioned just yesterday that they had gathered large containers and gone out to find water to transport to neighbors who haven’t been able to flush their toilets!
