On Sunday, June 15th, at 8:08 pm, a faulty electrical outlet started a fire in Kate's rental house. The fire destroyed that room and totally ruined everything in the upstairs of their home. As a result, Kate, her husband Blake, and their son Ryder lost everything in their bedrooms. The smoke damaged everything in their home. Renter's insurance will cover a portion of their belongings, but Thrive and friends want to show support to the family as they are in shock over this event and financial support will make it possible for them to start replacing their belongings (clothing, furniture, personal items, kitchen items, etc.) immediately. They will also need support getting into a new rental home.

Blake had left 2 days prior to the fire to work in Alaska for the summer, so the support of friends and family is especially important at this time. Friends from Kate's work (Thrive Community Fitness) and her son's school give her a great base of friends to begin her financial support.
