HELP KATE THE GREAT FIGHT FOR LIFE!!!!

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to share the story of our beloved Katelyn Nadeau, known to many as “Kate the Great” and “Kate from Boston.” On October 5th, Kate walked into South Shore Hospital, never expecting her world would turn upside down. After an alarming X-ray revealed both of her lungs had collapsed, she experienced cardiac arrest. Despite immediate intervention, complications arose with chest tubes, leading to her being medflighted to Brigham and Women’s Hospital to receive ECMO treatment to oxygenate her blood.

Kate is currently fighting for her life in the thoracic ICU, battling necrotizing pneumonia and several other serious conditions. She is a devoted mother of two, a loving wife, and a cherished daughter, surrounded by friends and family who love her deeply. As of now, Kate has undergone a tracheostomy and is unable to eat, drink, or speak. The road ahead is uncertain, with more procedures potentially leading to a lung transplant and a lengthy rehabilitation process.

During this challenging time, we’re asking for your support. The medical costs, transportation expenses, and everyday bills are overwhelming as Kate is unable to work. Every donation, no matter how small, will help alleviate some of this burden and allow her family to focus on her recovery.

Kate has touched the lives of so many through her kindness, creativity, and passion for life. She finds joy in watching movies, reading, and doing arts and crafts, and we’re trying to keep her spirits up with her favorite activities as much as possible.
