Help Kate have the best chance at becoming a mum
Donation protected
Hi my name is Kate.
This is quite an emotive personal issue for me.... but here goes nothing :-)
I am hoping to raise money to fund having my eggs frozen.
Those who know me well know that I have been struggling with fertility issues for a few years now.
I found out the heart breaking news that I am unable to have children the traditional way. This was due to having completely blocked fallopian tubes. Unfortunately after a couple of operations, my fallopian tubes had to be removed to reduce the risk of cancer.
Unfortunately, I am now classed as a geriatric patient at 35 years of age. This is due to the fact that the quality of a woman's eggs dramatically decreases after the age of 35.
As my only option at successfully having a family is by using IVF, I need high quality eggs to stand any genuine chance of being successful. Sadly I am only entitled to one round of IVF on the NHS. Which means that with only a 23% success rate, the egg quality is imperative.
Due to my current situation I am not in a position to have IVF right now. Therefor, I should have my eggs frozen as a matter of urgency to be able to stand the best chance down the line.
I am an extremely maternal person and get a lot of joy from caring for others. Luckily enough I get to be a part of the wonderful little chap in the photos life. He brings something totally unique to my world that would otherwise be missing. I am grateful for this unusual relationship, but the desire for me to parent my own child is still an innate and very powerful emotion.
Thank you so much for taking your precious time to read about my situation.
Any help would be beyond gratefully received (words could not express)
Love Kate
xx
