Kate is a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who has always found joy in being there for her family. In 2021, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and endured grueling chemotherapy treatments and multiple surgeries. She fought with everything she had, hoping to put cancer behind her.
Unfortunately, Kate recently received the devastating news that her cancer has returned—this time as stage 4. Despite a poor prognosis, she is determined to go through treatments again in hopes of extending her time with her loved ones. Her husband has been her rock through this journey, and her sons and grandchildren are her greatest motivation. Every moment she gets with them is a gift she refuses to take for granted.
To receive the best possible care, Kate and her husband must travel regularly to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for treatments. The costs of medical care, travel, lodging, and everyday expenses are overwhelming, adding stress to an already difficult battle. Her family is reaching out for help to ease this financial burden so Kate can focus on what truly matters: fighting this disease and cherishing the time she has with those she loves.
