Help Kate Ayotte Heal and Rebuild

Hi. I’m Connie Mitchell and this GoFundMe page is for my niece, Kate Ayotte. She is 21 years old and lives in Sebring, Florida. She lost her father in August 2024, who she had been taking care of for 8 years, since she lost her mother when she was 13. She has been grieving and was finally getting her life together—finding work and learning to make it on her own. She secured a waitressing job and took her work seriously. This was her first real job as, previously, she had always had to prioritize taking care of her father.

Friday, February 14th, Valentine’s Day, she was riding her bike to Red Lobster to work a double shift. On her way, she was hit by a truck. She was thrown 15 feet in the air and suffered multiple injuries. She was airlifted to Lakeland Trauma Center where they had to staple her skull and deal with a fractured pelvis, three broken ribs, and a broken tailbone. Kate has no insurance and will be laid up for a while. Kate is very conscientious and is quite stressed about how she is going to pay her bills. Kate is a hard worker. She doesn’t ask for handouts. If you are willing to give, please know there is no one more deserving than Kate. She is making all the right choices to get her life on track and she was just handed one more devastating blow.
