Kate and Kurt, have been severely impacted by Hurricane Helene. This devastating storm has turned their lives upside down, and they need our help to rebuild.

Their Story:

Kate and Kurt moved into their new home in Saint Petersburg, Florida back in May, excited to start this new chapter of their lives. Unfortunately, just a few months later, Hurricane Helene struck, bringing with it a storm surge that flooded their home with over 3 feet of water. The floodwaters, contaminated with sewage, have destroyed all their furniture and many personal belongings. To make matters worse, their car was also totaled in the storm.

Adding to their challenges, Kate lost her job just two weeks ago, leaving them with even fewer resources to cope with this disaster. While their flood insurance covers the structure of their house, it does not cover the contents, leaving them with a significant financial burden.

We are incredibly grateful that Kate and Kurt are safe, but they now face the daunting task of rebuilding their home and replenishing from scratch. Many people have reached out, asking how they can help, and this GoFundMe campaign is our way of providing a means for everyone to contribute.
