My dear friend Kate Ayre Taschereau and her 5 children came home from church and an outing this past Sunday to find their rental home had been destroyed by fire. They lost all worldly possessions and their beloved pets-Giacomo the dog, Ash the Rabbit, and Pixie the hamster.
Kate is a single mother and easily one of the hardest working women I know. This tragedy comes on the heels of some difficult years that she handled with fortitude, grace, and good humor.
