Hello my name is Dixie. I am fundraising for my Daughter-in-law Katie. September 30th our world changed. Katie suffered a massive heart attack at 36 years old. Katie had a completely blocked artery. She has been in Intensive Care ever since.

Katie and my son John met September 5th 2011. They knew immediately they wanted to spend their lives together. They were married December 23rd 2011.

They found out they were pregnant February 14th, Valentine’s Day. They had their first son, Colt, October 5th 2012. After a few years they decided to try for another baby and had their second son, Fox, September 29 2017. Katie loves her two boys more than anything.

Katie is one of the most caring people you would ever meet. She is kind and compassionate. She doesn’t deserve what has happened.

We are fundraising to help Kate and the rest of her wonderful family during this very difficult time.

Update: Katie underwent surgery and had a tracheostomy and a peg inserted. She has been transferred to a skilled nursing facility where she is doing physical therapy. This could be a multiple year process to get Katie back home but with your help we can ease some of the financial burden left on their family.
