Hi everyone. My name is Kate, and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest seasons of my life.

Over the last few months, my health has taken a sudden and frightening decline. I’ve been living with complex chronic conditions for years with over 30 diagnosed conditions (including POTS, hypermobility/Ehlers-Danlos, MCAS, Lyme disease and neurological issues), but recently things have escalated in ways I can’t manage alone. I’ve had episodes of vertigo so severe I couldn’t walk, collapsing spells, numbness, weakness, and ongoing neurological symptoms that have sent me to the ER multiple times. I am taking less than 500 steps per day and getting worse.

We finally know now that I need specialized care — naturopathic support, neurological and autonomic specialists, and advanced diagnostics — to stabilize my nervous system, strengthen my body, and understand what is truly happening. Unfortunately, many of the providers and tests I need are not covered by insurance, and without treatment, my symptoms are continuing to worsen.

At the same time, my husband, Ryan, is out of work while he takes care of me and our children. With the loss of income and the growing expenses related to my medical needs, we simply cannot afford the care required to help me get stable and functioning again. Donations will go toward provider appointments, imaging and diagnostic testing, transport to out-of-area specialists if needed, supplements and treatments insurance doesn’t cover, emergency care support, and basic living expenses during this difficult period.

I’m a mom of three young kids, and right now even basic tasks like standing, walking, and showering have become overwhelming. I am fighting every day to stabilize my health for myself and for my family. Asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but the truth is that I can’t get through this without support and I truly believe that with the right care, I can get my life back.
