We come to you with heavy hearts to share the story of an incredible woman Katarzyna (Katrina/Kat) Dorociak Kwacz

She is a devoted wife and loving mother to her 13 year old son. For the past 20 years she has made Ireland her home, recently celebrating her citizenship. Anyone that knows her knows how dedicated she is to her job in St Michael's House. Katarzyna is a selfless, strong and determined person and that shines through in everything she does.

Tragically at just 42 years old, she has been diagnosed with bile duct cancer, a rare and aggressive type of cancer and has been given just 3-12 months to live. She is due to start chemotherapy but this alone will not save her. Despite this heartbreaking news, there is hope. Immunotherapy could give her a fighting chance but this comes at an enormous cost of €40,000.

As her friends we cannot stand by and watch her struggle financially while fighting for her life. She has always been there for everyone and now she needs our help.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a world of difference in Katarzynas battle and giving her the chance to be there for her son growing up.
