Help Kat Kick Cancers Ass

Katerina Klawes, often called Kat Klawes by friends and family has recently been diagnosed with cervical cancer. Kat has a rare and aggressive form of cancer for her age, affecting just 0.005% of women between 25-29. I’m starting this Go Fund Me for her because while strength and sprit are things that help and she has in abundance, they sadly can’t take care of everything.
For those of you who haven’t had the joy of meeting Kat yet, she is a kind and hard-working person who is always ready to make brownies or cookies for a friend in need. In the short times I’ve known her I’ve already lost count of all of the times she’s gone out of her way to help a friend in need, everything from pet sitting to making sure everyone is happy everywhere she goes.
She doesn’t just help those around her though, Kat has fought for the rights of sexual assault victims, has done advocacy related to mental health, and so much more. At the age of 21, she led a lawsuit against her university for silencing sexual assault victims and those with mental illness. She has decided to continue her history of public service by working to better the lives in our community through the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce. At her job she runs a queer leadership program to help encourage and support young people leadership skills.
Kat has spent her entire life fighting for others and now she needs help.
Please consider donating any amount, because Kat deserves help kicking cancer’s ass.
Update 2/24: Kat's insurance company has denied coverage for the cost of her first surgery on 1/28/2020. This means that Kat is expected to pay nearly $11,000 worth of medical bills before her health insurance will contribute a single cent towards her medical costs.
Kat shouldn't have to worry about bills at a time like this, she should be able to focus on getting better. Please help continuing to support Kat as she battles cervical cancer.
