Hi, I'm Kat.

Some of you know me from TikTok (@highesthopesofficial), where I talk skincare, supplements, and whatever else I've been obsessively researching. Some of you know me in real life. Either way, I'm so grateful you're here.

Last year I was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer. By the time they found it, it was too advanced for surgery or radiation, it has been a long tough fight so far. Recently my team finally started me on immunotherapy.

My body couldn't handle it. I made it through three infusions, and after each one I ended up admitted to the hospital within days. During that time the tumor grew quickly. I needed an emergency colostomy, I lost all my hair, and I'm fighting infections my body can't clear, with fluid building up around my kidney and lung.

My oncologist has now taken me off treatment and referred me to hospice. The message I've been given is that there's nothing more they can do.

I'm not ready to accept that.

My plan is to go to the Hope4Cancer clinic in Mexico. I know people personally who have gone and have had amazing results. I'm not expecting a miracle cure. I'm going to rest, rebuild, and get my body strong enough to keep fighting after what immunotherapy took from it. And to get back on track for beating this. Once I'm stable, I hope to pursue more targeted treatment, which will be a separate fundraiser down the road. This is round one.

My brother is coming with me as my caregiver, and I couldn't do this without him.

Travel for my brother and me: flights, ground transport, and extra baggage/shipping for medical equipment.
