Hi everyone, Kat here, and I could use your help.

I've got surgery scheduled for next Wednesday and my surgeon says I'll need to be at home recovering for 12 weeks.

My surgery is covered by my insurance.

My expenses from being out of work for 3 months are not.

I had been counting on my work to cover my time off, but the extent to which they actually will is uncertain at best.

I'm aiming to collect $9300, as that should be enough to get me through any Leave Without Pay that I will be faced with taking over the next several months while covering my insurance premiums that I'll need to pay for out of pocket.

After my recovery, any leftover funds will be redonated to help support other trans families across the country.
