We honestly don’t even know how to begin.

Kassie is our niece. She is 3 years old and full of personality. Kass is loud, funny, stubborn in the best way, and the kind of little girl who lights up every room she walks into. She loves princesses, animals, and making everyone laugh. She is pure joy to all of us.

She is also a little sister to her brother, Nikos, who loves her more than anything and is trying to understand a world that suddenly feels very different.

A few days ago, our world was completely flipped upside down.

Kassie was diagnosed with Acute Megakaryoblastic Leukemia (AMKL/M7) - a rare subtype of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).

There are no words for what it feels like hearing that about someone so small and so deeply loved. Since then, life has been a blur of hospital rooms, tears, and trying to stay strong when our hearts are breaking.

Kassie has now begun treatment at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and we are so grateful she is in such an incredible place with an amazing team.

As her aunt and uncle, this has been devastating—but we are holding onto hope. Hope in her strength, her spirit, and the love surrounding her.

Right now, we are asking for help so her parents can focus fully on her—being by her side, holding her hand, and getting her through each day without the added weight of financial stress.
