My cousin Kassandra Gomez - Toribio and her family are facing an unimaginable challenge. Yesterday, a fire broke out in the apartment above theirs, causing severe water damage and forcing them out of their home. Tragically, the fire restarted, and as of now, they haven’t been able to return to their apartment. Ten people, including a 1-year-old, are now displaced and left without access to their belongings or a safe place to stay.

Kassandra, her husband, and their children—including little Adelyn—are currently staying in a hotel for just one week. After that, they may have to move to a shelter. They can’t leave New York because of work responsibilities, and the uncertainty is overwhelming. The family urgently needs essentials like clothing, shoes, blankets, diapers, and toiletries. Adelyn wears size 2T-3T in clothes and 6-7 in shoes. Kassandra and her teen wear medium or large in women’s, and her husband wears medium in men’s clothing.
