On June 5th our sweet baby boy Khalil was severely burned in an accident in our kitchen, and suffered 2nd degree burns on his face and body. We had to call 911 and get him emergency care, we were taken to the first hospital who stabilized him and then transferred to a speciality hospital with a burn unit where he stayed for 2 days. He had multiple follow ups with the specialists till he was healed. The traumatic event has left us emotionally and financially overwhelmed. We just recently got all the bills for the medical care he received, despite having medical insurance, the bills are substantial, and we find ourselves in a challenging situation, as we are unable to cover the costs alone. We’re turning to our friends, family and community to ask for support during this difficult time.
