Help Kasia Complete Her Doctorate Journey

Hi, my name is Ian and I am organizing this campaign on behalf of my wonderful partner, Kasia Lewinska.

Kasia is just one year away from completing her Doctorate classes in Applied Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School in Los Angeles—a program she has excelled in and poured her heart and beautiful spirit into.

Due to unexpected financial circumstances, in August of last year, she was forced to make the incredibly hard decision to pause and step away from her studies just before the finish line. This comes after devoting the last seven years of her life to studying, the most recent of which took her across the world from her home country of Poland to Los Angeles—not only maneuvering the complexities of being an international student in a new country but also living far from her family and friends.

In order to meet the financial demands of her final year of school (tuition, academic costs, and visa requirements), she has spent the last year working abroad full-time in the charter boat industry, saving every dollar she could to return to her program. Despite her very best efforts, with the fall semester approaching, the financial demands are simply more than she can meet on her own in such a short time. So I’m reaching out to ask for support for her. If you know Kasia, you know how relentless and uncompromising she is and has been in pursuit of this goal, and to watch her work tirelessly for a year in a physically and emotionally demanding job only to potentially come up short is heartbreaking.

Why Kasia Deserves Our Help

Kasia is a passionate and deeply devoted human who is on a clear path. This path is one of compassion and selflessness, curiosity and knowledge, and most crucially, service to those who are in need.

Her doctoral research focuses on the connection between nature, mindfulness and psychological well-being—something that feels urgently needed in fast-paced, overstimulated cities like Los Angeles. And she’s not just studying these ideas—she's living them, having traveled around nearly the entire world while studying over the past several years. Her work has already touched so many people, and I know it’s only the beginning.

She chose L.A. not only for her education but because she truly connected with its creative, multicultural spirit. The city became home. And it’s where she hopes to give back as a licensed clinical psychologist—serving individuals and communities with her insight, compassion, and care.

Mimo ogromnego wysiłku, zbliżający się semestr jesienny i związane z nim koszty przekraczają to, co jest w stanie samodzielnie zaoszczędzić w tak krótkim czasie. Dlatego zwracam się z prośbą o wsparcie dla niej.

Jeśli znasz Kasię, wiesz, jak bardzo jest wytrwała i niezłomna w dążeniu do swoich celów. Patrząc na to jak przez cały rok pracowała bez wytchnienia w fizycznie i emocjonalnie wymagającej pracy, chcę zrobić co w mojej mocy żeby pomóc jej wrócić na uczelnię.
