Help Kash Lee Kelly Appeal his Sentence

This GoFundMe is for legal fees for appealing Kash’s Sentence.
Many of you know who Kash Lee Kelly is, our Streetlight that brought us together since he went viral last year, sharing a message of Hope and Unity. As many of you know, he was sentenced in February for a decade’s old crimes where he plead guilty for conspiracy to drug related offenses during his gang days. He was cooperative and exemplary in his parole with the exception of the one “offense” that actually was the mistake of his lawyer in filing where he was going and for how long. The lawyer was negligent and never accepted responsibility. Because of this it affected sentencing.
Currently, the motion for appeal has been signed and we are awaiting exact plans for how the appeal will need to be handled. At this time, he has not even had the opportunity to meet his court appointed appeals lawyer in Indiana, and will need to get the process rolling with someone ASAP. After seeing how the first couple court appointed lawyers treated the case, we see the importance in true legal fees. Currently, Kash has been bouncing around between multiple facilities and still does not have his permanent prison home which we are very concerned about, as he may be around other gang members that may get the wrong idea regarding his listing of being "cooperative" in his original trial.
We apologize for waiting this long to share this as we just can't get any information on the legal appellate court process. And Covid hasn’t helped the timeline.
With that said, we know it's going to be a bit of a struggle and it's going to take some time. Kash has asked for much-needed help. First and foremost this will go to appeals fees. To be honest, we doubt there will extra as the costs are probably going to escalate, as we’ve been quoted 10k for the initial "argument", paperwork and other court costs. Anything over that will go to supporting Erica and his kids while he is in court.
With that said, please share if you can't donate--no one understands this more than him. Even small amounts from the community that has followed him will allow him to NOT have the mess of a legal situation that occurred in the sentencing phase where the Prosecution did a better job pleading for Kash than his court appointed attorney!
