Hey! My name is Kasey and I'm saving for top surgery. I don't know how much, if any, of the cost of the surgery will be covered by my insurance, let alone planning for the trip and board in San Francisco where I hope to have it done. Any help is greatly accepted and appreciated because I know it's my own journey to walk an no one is responsible for it but me. There has always been a disconnect with my body and my brain as I was assigned female at birth, but since childhood presented more masculine to the point of getting mistake as a "boy" all the time when I was supposed to be a traditional girl. People would stop me in the bathrooms or joke harshly or inappropriately among other things, and though I never saw myself as a girl, didn't understand why I wasn't just seen as a person. Though this surgery won't fix all of my problems, it will ease a lot of gender dysphoria and mental turmoil as an adult.
