I am writing to request support for a very dear friend of mine, Karyn Burns, who is undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer, with a double mastectomy scheduled in June. Karyn is young with a hard-working husband and a teenage daughter. Other than Tadd's paycheck, the family's funds have been almost completely depleted from the medical costs. Tadd is attempting to liquidate what few assets they have left but no one is buying.

Unfortunately Karyn has experienced every horrible side effect of the chemo and was only temporarily helped by a medication that the family cannot afford. She has one treatment left and the family has a goal of $2,000 to purchase the medication that can ease the three weeks of suffering she will experience after the last treatment in May.
