HELP KARUNA RESCUE TO SAVE LIVES OF 3 HORSES!

To help Karuna Animal Rescue, in Kneeland, Humboldt County, raise funds needed to bring 3 older horses to their Sanctuary from Elverta (near Sacramento), I’ve started this Gofundme site for donations.

Time is of the essence. They need transfer as soon as possible!

The 3 horses are males who have been together most of their lives and we want them to stay together. Two are 27 and one is 19, so retirement in a beautiful place with all the comforts they could need or want, is just what the horse angels would wish for them.

They cannot stay where they are. Their owner passed away and the Good Samaritan family member is returning to New York when she has taken care of things where her brother lived. Karuna decided to take them when her extensive efforts had gotten her only offers to buy for auction (which most certainly means slaughter). This was unacceptable to her and she is working hard herself, to help pay the costs for these lovelies to come here.

We need to get them vetted before transport, get them safely transported some 300 miles, and get them seen by farrier and vet shortly after arrival. We are guessing that all these things will cost at least $2500.

If the donations collected exceed the actual expenses, that money will be used for continuing care of these boys and/or any of the other several horses we have here.
