We are asking for prayers for our husband and son, Karter.

Karter is a husband, son, brother, friend to all who know him and is deeply loved. He is also an experienced rock climber, which makes what happened even harder to understand. While rappelling in St. George he fell over 40 feet.

He was wearing a helmet, and we are so grateful for that.

After being rushed to the hospital and undergoing full-body CT scans, doctors found:

• a small brain bleed

• a fracture in in his jaw in the maxillary

• sinus fractures

• nasal fracture

• a broken wrist and forearm on his right arm

• a broken arm on his left elbow

• hematoma

• received 50 plus stitches to his left eyelid

• No injuries to his chest, which is a huge blessing

While being transported, Karter suffered a seizure, likely due to the head trauma. He was intubated to protect his airway and is currently sedated in the ICU in critical condition. We’re waiting for him to be lifeflighted because he needs a major facial reconstruction surgery.

We are asking for prayers for Karter, his wife Rylee, and our entire family’s on both sides. We truly believe in the power of prayer.

Karter has a long road to recovery ahead, and he will be unable to work for some time. If you feel prompted to help, we are accepting donations to support his medical expenses and recovery.
