Help Me Keep Krew’s Books & Brews Open

Hi, I’m Karri, and this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever written.

If you know me, you know I’m usually the one cheering everyone else on, hyping dreams, celebrating wins, and finding joy wherever I can. Asking for help has never come easily to me, but right now, I need to be honest and brave and say that I can’t do this alone anymore.

Krew's Books & Brews was born from a dream bigger than just selling books and coffee. I wanted to create a space where readers could linger, where fantasy lovers felt seen, where conversations felt safe, and where anyone could walk in and feel like they belonged. A place filled with stories, warmth, creativity, and kindness.

And for a while, that dream came to life in the most beautiful ways.

But like many small, independent bookstores, Krew’s has been struggling. Slow business, rising costs, and unexpected financial strain have caught up with me. Right now, the shop is behind on rent and taxes, and I don’t have the funds needed to restock inventory and keep things running the way they should. Without help, I’m facing the very real possibility of having to close the doors.

That thought breaks my heart.

Not just because this is my livelihood, but because Krew’s is a community space. It’s where friendships have formed, ideas have sparked, and people have found comfort in stories when they needed it most. It’s a place I’ve poured everything I have into, and a place I still believe in deeply.

This fundraiser isn’t about perfection or pride. It’s about giving this little bookstore a fighting chance. Every contribution will go directly toward catching up on essential expenses, keeping the doors open, and allowing me the opportunity to continue growing and rebuilding.
