I initially made this fundraiser because my cat, Karma, is in need of some unexpected dental work. She has tooth resorption, which is incredibly painful. After $225 dental consultation, I learned that she now needs extractions, which will cost $500, and I don't have the money to cover it :(
I've included the invoices in the pictures, but since then, I've spent $1259 between the emergency vet and her regular vet. On April 27 she was throwing up, using the litter box more than usual, not eating or drinking, and just being super lethargic. I took her to the emergency vet where they didn't find anything conclusive and had me follow up with the regular vet to do some testing. They sent her home with some IV liquids, anti-nausea meds, antibiotics (incase she has a UTI), and a steroid injection because she had a fever of 104
On April 29 I took her to her regular vet where she had some blood tests and a urinalysis, and I'm waiting for the results to come back. They wanted to do a radiograph too, but I'd maxed out my credit cards paying for the emergency vet, and didn't have enough in my account to cover it. I do have pet insurance that I hope will cover some of the $1259, but I know they won't cover all of it, and they don't cover any of the dental work. I've increased the goal from $500 since I've spent so much this month, and especially in the past couple days. It's been crippling with it all happening at once, and so close to when rent is due. It's so worth it because I love Karma, but it's been a big strain for me
All I want is for her is to feel better. She's an 8-year-old cat with anxiety, chronic kidney disease, arthritis, and a heart murmur. This poor little baby goes through so much already, I don't want her to be in any more pain and I want to know what's wrong with her so she can start healing
Anything helps, and just sharing would be amazing. Thank you for helping Karma get the care she needs and hopefully diagnose what's been bothering her
