Hi, my name is Danna and I’m starting this fundraiser for my partner. He’s a black 21 year old homeless lesbian from Canada.

As you might know, he dealt with neglect and abuse by the hands of his mother for years on end. Recently, he was able to escape. However, this hasn’t been easy as his mother had snatched his 4 year old cat away as a way of having my partner coming back to that house.

One random day she became tired, tried calling him and without a response, she sent an email to him telling him she would re-home his cat which is what he tried to do in the first place, resulting in her kidnapping his cat.

My partner was reunited with his cat. However, on June 16th, 2026, he was unjustly kicked out of the residency he was staying in now with threats of being homeless. The reason why he was kicked out was due to his cat urinating and defecating outside of his litter box (this behavior only started months ago, something he would never do previously). My partner would immediately clean after him if he would see it, yet as he did not go upstairs as much, except from the times he’d use the bathroom, he would miss some spots. His roommates started cleaning after him upstairs, but reassured my partner this was okay, and there was no need for him to feel guilty. But it changed after his cat urinated on some gifts, prompting my partner being kicked out, without even being listened to despite his willingness to re-home his cat.

My partner’s friends came to help him with packing his things, and as soon as they were done, one of his now past roommates told them to “better hope you don’t see us outside”. This same roommate is accusing my partner of stealing from them, stalking one of my partner’s friend’s social media, as well as threatening with calling the cops and with defamation claims without anything defamatory being said.

This situation has been highly traumatizing and it is something that is increasing his suicidal ideation by a lot. He is now staying at the hospital, waiting to go into the psych ward (it has been almost two full days of waiting to get in) to prevent himself from him making any attempts at his life, as well as to prevent the risks of being homeless.

As you can imagine, he has been struggling with his mental and physical health, recently experiencing terrible chronic pain flair ups. He also is anemic, which granted him getting two blood transfusions that were vital for him. With minimum help, this has strained him significantly especially with his undiagnosed disabilities (chronic pain and autism).

We are seeking to fund the following:

* Rent

* Food and other essentials

* Enough to cover for daily life transportation such as bus tickets

* A new phone (his current one is very old, lags often and the battery life is quite bad)
