This monsoon, we are drowning.
In Rishikesh, the rains have been relentless. Roads are overflowing with water, landslides block our way, and the swelling Ganga makes reaching animals twice as hard. Yet, day after day, we wade through storms to feed, treat and rescue dogs, cows, bulls, mules, and cats who depend on us.
This season has brought an explosion of suffering — maggot wounds eating animals alive, tick-borne infections, and skin diseases. Every day, we get new, heartbreaking cases, our clinic is overflowing, and our team is stretched beyond measure.
But the hardest blow? Our resources are running out. Donations have slowed, and our funds are nearly exhausted. If we cannot raise urgent support, hundreds of street animals will:
- Starve without feeding rounds.
- Die of treatable maggot wounds.
- Fall prey to deadly but preventable diseases like rabies, parvovirus, and distemper.
- And sterilization will stop — leading to countless puppies born into suffering on the streets.
For years, Karma Animal Trust has stood strong for the voiceless, with the support of kind people like you. Today, we need you more than ever.
