Calling All Prayer Warriors: Rally Around Karli, Nic, and Baby Wrenleigh

Karli and Nic, newlyweds with a 5-month-old baby girl, Wrenleigh, are navigating the fight of their lives as Karli battles stage 4 colorectal cancer, which has metastasized to her liver. This life-altering diagnosis came on New Year’s Eve and has turned their world upside down.

Karli has begun treatment at City of Hope, a renowned cancer center, while Nic works tirelessly as an IBEW electrical lineman apprentice. This week, Nic is relocating to Ventura, Ca to respond to fire-related electrical outages, creating a physical and emotional separation during an already overwhelming time. With most of Nic’s family leave already used for Wrenleigh’s birth in August, their financial and emotional resources are stretched thin.

The Challenges They’re Facing:

• Medical and Integrative Treatments: Karli is pursuing integrative therapies alongside traditional cancer care to maximize her chances of recovery. Many of these innovative and supportive treatments are not covered by insurance, adding to their financial burden.

• Childcare and Living Expenses: With Nic away for work and Karli undergoing treatment, additional help is needed to cover childcare and daily living costs.

• Pet Care for Wilson: Wilson, their high-energy dog and cherished family member, brings comfort and joy. However, Karli needs support to ensure Wilson is cared for, especially on challenging days.
