On Saturday, March 9th, 2019, while visiting family and friends in Michigan, one of my best friends Karley was involved in a serious car accident. It was the night of my bachelorette party, in Detroit. We decided to head back to the Airbnb before midnight and on our way back Karley’s Uber was t-boned on the side where she was sitting. She was extracted from the vehicle by the jaws of life, and taken to the hospital. She is suffering from a fractured pelvis and tailbone. She currently has limited mobility.



After spending some time in the hospital, she spent a month recovering at her parents home in Michigan before she was cleared by her doctors to fly back to Denver. She is now back home in Denver recovering and receiving treatment with physical therapy appointments and follow ups with doctors on a weekly basis.


Two years ago, Karley established her pottery business, Twisted Pine Pottery , progressively growing the business in recent months. Due to the accident, she has been unable to complete commissions, make work for art shows and update her webshop along with her other job, as a prosthetic maker; due to her injuries. Recovery will require her to be out of work for an indefinite period of time, and as a result of the physical demands her work requires, she is unable to receive income at this time.

We are asking for donations to help Karley to pay her bills during this difficult time. We believe that she should be focused on healing and not stressed out about monthly bills and expenses. We’re hoping to raise enough to cover her rent and utilities for the next few months. All money donated will be transfer to Karley bank account.
