Update!! Karlee will begin her infusions on Friday October 31st!!

For 14 years, Karlee has faced more medical challenges than most kids her age. We’ve spent so much time searching for answers — through countless appointments, tests, and treatments — always hoping to understand what was behind it all.

Now, we finally have that answer. Karlee has been diagnosed with CVID (Common Variable Immune Deficiency), a rare immune disorder that affects only around 10 to 60 children in the U.S. each year. While it’s heartbreaking to know she has a lifelong condition, it also brings a sense of relief to finally have a name for what she’s been fighting all along.

With this diagnosis comes a new journey. Karlee will now need monthly trips to UC Davis for IVIG infusions, along with additional visits in between for follow-ups and ongoing care. These trips and treatments will be hard — mentally, emotionally, and financially — but if there’s one thing Karlee has proven time and time again, it’s that she is incredibly strong, brave, and resilient.

As a single mom of four, I do my best to juggle everything — from appointments and school schedules to my own ongoing medical conditions. It’s not easy, but my kids are my world, and I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure they get the care and support they need. Still, the constant travel, medical costs, and time away from home are overwhelming at times.

We’re asking for help to ease some of the burden this new chapter brings — whether it’s through donations, shares, prayers, or words of encouragement. Every bit of support means more than we can ever express and helps us focus on what matters most — keeping Karlee healthy and strong.
