Karla has been my friend for 20 years, and in that time, I have seen firsthand the incredible impact she has had as a teacher and as a person. For over 25 years, Karla has dedicated herself to her students, always going above and beyond to help others and share her compassion with everyone she meets. She has touched countless lives, both in and out of the classroom, and is the kind of person who never hesitates to lend a hand to those in need.

Right now, Karla is facing one of the most difficult moments of her life. Her brother is dying, and she cannot afford to travel home to Canada to be with her family. On top of this heartbreak, Karla is also worried about her special needs brother, who relied on their other brother as his caretaker. With so much on her shoulders, Karla needs support more than ever.
