I never imagined I would be writing these words.

For most of my life, I worked hard, paid my bills, and took pride in being independent. If I needed something, I found a way to earn it. I never thought I would be in a position where I would need to ask strangers for help.

Today, I have less than $4 in my checking account. I have lost the home I lived in for eight years, and my children and I are facing homelessness.

I am the sole parent of two beautiful children, ages 1 and 2. Raising two toddlers this young is challenging under the best of circumstances. Doing it completely alone has been the hardest thing I have ever faced.

Every day begins before sunrise and often ends long after midnight. Between diapers, feedings, tantrums, childcare struggles, sleepless nights, and trying to keep everything together, there are moments when it feels impossible. Yet every morning I get up and do it all again because my children need me.

I did not become a single mother by choice. As childcare challenges increased, maintaining employment became more difficult. Missed opportunities led to financial setbacks, and financial setbacks eventually led to losing the home that had been our safe place for nearly a decade.

What hurts most is knowing how quickly life can change.

One day you’re paying your bills, caring for your family, and planning for the future. The next, you’re trying to figure out where your children will sleep and how to rebuild from the ground up.

In addition to my children, I am also responsible for several beloved cats who have been part of my family for years. During some of the darkest chapters of my life, they have provided comfort, companionship, and unconditional love. The thought of losing them on top of losing my home is heartbreaking.

I know there are many people facing hardships of their own. I know there are countless worthy causes. But if my story speaks to your heart, I am asking for your help.

Your donation will help provide emergency housing, storage fees, moving expenses, food, diapers, clothing, transportation, childcare expenses, and the basic necessities needed while I work to rebuild a stable life for my children.

More than anything, I am asking for a chance.

A chance to keep my family together.

A chance to create stability for my children.

A chance to recover from a season that has brought me to my knees.
