Help Karla get back on her feet (literally)

Hi everyone, my name is Karla and on April 10th, 2024 on Beatty Street in Trenton, New Jersey, I was t-boned by a company semi-trailer around 2:45 pm, and I was the only person in the car. I was on the way to pick up medication for a sick friend, I did not have any stop signs on my route, but regardless, driving in Trenton, I was being EXTREMELY vigilant due to high traffic and pedestrian activity. The driver, an older man, totaled my car because he approached his stop sign and did not stop, but sped up through it. There were many witnesses and apparently the driver was on his phone, and because of the size of the vehicle, and having been distracted, I’m almost positive he didn’t even notice me until impact. This was only a 25 MPH road, and I’d even slowed down a little bit when I noticed the driver approaching his stop sign, but I had the right of way because I, in fact, did not have a stop sign. He hit me so hard on the passenger side of my car that my shoes came off. I was wearing my glasses, and my face smashed against the steering wheel, causing a superficial hematoma (blood suffusion) on my forehead, and a small gash that required two stitches. After being rushed to the nearest emergency room, I was also diagnosed with a mild traumatic brain injury, a sprained finger ligament, a sprained knee ligament, amongst other milder injuries. I live with my mom who lives off of her social security disability funds, and I have no other form of financial support. I am employed full time as a server, and I’ve already been out of work for almost a week. I’m trying to take my time to heal, but I have many financial responsibilities including student loans, and tax filing that I cannot complete at the moment due to lack of funds. If you’re able to donate, literally anything would help. I would be using it to buy myself food, get back and forth to work, buy any necessary medical supplies to help my body heal properly, pay bills including student loans, file my taxes before I’m penalized, pay for my therapy, and really anything else that comes up during the process of healing and potentially getting a new car. I appreciate anyone who took the time to read my story, and anyone who is willing to help me out just this once. Thank you in advance. Stay safe out there.
