Hi, my name is Angelique and I’m fundraising for my friend’s brother, Karl, 53, who had a recent medical event in which he became septic and almost died.

Fortunately the doctors were able to save Karl’s life by amputating his leg just above the knee. This has completely changed Karl’s life forever.

He is not yet able to get his prosthetic leg on and off by himself (it also takes time to get the fit just right). Everyday tasks are a struggle.

So we’d like to raise funds for Karl to be able to get a better wheelchair, help pay for his prosthetic leg, and to help pay for him to go to a facility for veterans where he could stay for three weeks or more to get the rehab and care he needs, that his family is struggling to provide.

This would enable Karl to get stronger, learn how to get his prosthetic leg on and off for himself and be able to come home and shower, toilet, get food and live independently!!!
