On November 1st, Karissa was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. The next day she and her husband, Billy, also discovered that she was pregnant. Sadly, on the morning of Karissa’s double mastectomy to remove the cancer, an ultrasound confirmed that she had had a miscarriage.

While this has been an intensely emotional time for our family, we are feeling positive about the future as Karissa heals from surgery, prepares for reconstruction, and as we await to hear what next steps will be necessary to maintain her health. We are humbly asking our community of friends, family and colleagues for donations to support her healing journey.

Your contributions will help to pay for medical expenses, additional childcare for their two year old, meal support during this challenging time, and to offset the reduced income as Billy and Karissa have had to take time away from their freelance jobs to fight for Karissa’s health.
