Help Karina Study Abroad with UT Austin!

Hi everyone! My name is Karina, I am currently a third-year undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Austin studying two majors: Social Work and Dance.

This summer I have been blessed with an amazing opportunity to be able to attend a study abroad program in England through my Social Work major! This opportunity is a month-long abroad learning experience in England through the program called England: Social Justice and Social Change Maymester. This program is geared towards third and fourth-year Social Work undergraduates and Social Work graduate students at the University of Texas at Austin.

If able to attend, I will have the opportunity to learn about issues that are happening globally in this world and influence me to push forward with the fight for justice. A big thing about this program is that students will be emerging into a new environment while attending guest lectures and exploring cultural and ethical issues that have happened/ are happening in communities much like ours and being a social work major, you learn that there is no better way to learn from a community than working and being in it.

Unfortunately, financial aid and scholarships are not fully covering the cost of the program so if you are comfortable enough to help my education and opportunities grow, I would greatly appreciate any donations that could be given towards my trip and program expenses.
