Help Karina Granat

Karina Granat is a well-loved local dog trainer who works at Wags & Wiggles Dog Daycare in Rancho Santa Margarita. Karina was involved in a hit and run on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. She was walking her dogs across the street at a crosswalk near her home when a vehicle did not stop and struck her. The vehicle took off. She was found lying in the street. The police have not yet caught the person who perpetrated this crime.

 

Karina was rushed to the emergency hospital. She has undergone several reconstructive surgeries in order to help her walk again. She will have months of recovery. She is still in the Intensive Care Unit.

 

Thankfully her dogs were uninjured.

 

We are raising funds to help cover medical bills, physical therapy, medical equipment like a wheelchair, and future lost wages.

Update 7/2/22 - Karina continues her recovery in the ICU.  Her surgeries have been successful.  She has some awareness of what is happening to her. She continues to be in stable condition.  She has a long road ahead of her before she can fully communicate.  Please continue to support Karina.

 

Update 7/4/22 - we got a great update today.  Karina is starting to be more mobile.  Her doctors are very happy with her progress.  The Karina we know and love is coming back.  Her progress will still be long and slow but she is moving in the right direction.  I communicated with her boyfriend and they are both astonished by the generosity of this go fund me.
