Dear team and community friends,

We’re reaching out to support our coworker and friend Karina during a time of deep loss. Karina joined our Technology team in 2024 and was quickly promoted to the Finance department the same year — a reflection of her dedication and hard work.

On April 28, 2025, Karina’s mother, Guadalupe Martinez, passed away after a long battle with mucoepidermoid carcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Guadalupe was first diagnosed in 2020 and bravely endured multiple surgeries and rounds of radiation. In 2024, the cancer returned and was deemed terminal. Her final months were focused on comfort and spending time with loved ones.

Guadalupe was a widow and is survived by her three children, one of whom requires ongoing care. The family now faces the financial burden of funeral costs and outstanding medical bills during an already difficult time.
