Help Karina Continue Her Equestrian Dream

Hello, wonderful people! My name is Ruslan and I'm raising funds for my daughter Karina. She'll turn 15 soon and since she was 7, she's been fighting with Type I Diabetes Mellitus. My wife and I have dedicated our lives to supporting Karina and making her feel as peaceful and free as other kids without diabetes do.

Since she was 10, she'd been dreaming of horses and horse riding and thanks to God, 3 years ago He gave us a possibility to rent a good horse and to hire one of the most talented coaches in Russia. In a year, Karina became so confident and skillful that she could take prizes at her first competitions of regional level.

The next two years were the happiest in her life and she forgot about diabetes completely. She could spend literally 24/7 at the stables taking care of her horse, Fabian. And what's more important, her blood sugar levels were even and within acceptable limits.

In 2023, our family had to move to the USA as my wife had got a religious worker visa and a job as a family ministry pastor here. This was a thrilling experience and a really good change for our children. As parents, we always want the best for our kids. At the same time, they had to leave all their lives behind: close friends, sports and so on.

Unfortunately, the very first visit to a high-level (equal to what Karina had in Russia) equestrian facility almost made me cry: the price that the coach announced was $3,000 per month plus veterinarian for the horse and new equipment for Karina... So it makes approximately $40,000 for one year of practice. Well, our family was not in need in Russia (at least for the last 5 years with God's help), and I could find $800 monthly to spend on Karina's dream, but here... here it was too much. By the visa terms, I'm not allowed to work in the USA and what we make for a living now is not enough to pay for the equestrian practice. We belive that when Karina starts winning prizes she'll be able to pay for it herself, but meanwhile she needs our help.

Once I've noticed a flyer with some fundraiser story at Gofundme in a neighborhood cafe and as our family is familiar with God's miracles, I'm writing these words right now.

We don't know for how long we'll be allowed to stay in the USA but what we know for sure is that we don't want to waste Karina's best years in vain.

God bless you all!
