Help Karim to get his family out of Gaza

Donation protected
My name is Karim Abualroos, I'm narrating the story of my torn-apart family due to war, which took away many of our loved ones. I am currently residing outside Gaza in Belgium, seeking to bring my family out of Gaza to saftey place. Over the past few months, I have managed to work on getting my younger brother Youssef and sister Doha out of Gaza, and we are awaiting the final steps for their departure. This prompted the rest of the family to make the difficult decision to leave Gaza. We lost almost everything we owned in this war and lost my elder sister, her daughters, sons, husband, as well as half of our extended family, including aunts, uncles, and loved ones. We strive to get whoever remains alive in Gaza to safety.

My elder brother, Fakhry Abu Alroos, wrote about himself:
"My name is Fakhry Abu alroos, I am in my thirties, a graduate of the Faculty of Journalism and Media from Palestine Technical University. I work at the Orideo Communications Company. I love photography and documentation and have worked in the field for some time. However, the first thing I photographed in this war was the bodies of my sister, her children, her husband, and 15 others from our family.
My wife, Sondus, is 24 years old, holding a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. When the war on Gaza began, she had just started fulfilling her dream of working in one of the largest and most important Palestinian banks, after graduating from a scholarship program. But this dream was not fulfilled, it was cut short, and it is unknown if it can be continued.
Our firstborn, Nasser, the cherished child we were waiting to enter kindergarten and integrate with other children, is now constantly asking us: 'When will I go back to kindergarten? Where are Eileen and Celine, my cousin Hadeel's daughters?' But in reality, we do not know if there is a kindergarten left, whether it was bombed, or if it shelters the displaced.
Nasser now has no childhood life. He hears terrifying explosions that even adults cannot bear. There is no nutritious food, no places left for learning, entertainment, or even playing. Nasser is five years old and constantly thinks about loss and pain.
Hadeel, our infant daughter, named after her late aunt Hadeel whom we lost at the beginning of the war, is three months old. She was born under bombardment and missiles, in a severe shortage of medicines, vitamins, food, and milk. Her mother suffered from displacement and long journeys to escape Israeli targeting everywhere.
What prompted us to think about traveling is fear, firstly and lastly, and our desire to survive the genocide. The fear of loss, the fear for our son Nasser, who repeatedly asked me about death because of what he heard and saw in front of him, the fear of them becoming disadvantaged, the fear for their future and lives. Our desire to live a better life and provide them with a healthy life, clean water, and sufficient food.
The idea of leaving Gaza is not easy for us because we were born and raised here, and we have lived our entire lives within its borders. But there are two options before us: either surrender to death or leave Gaza. Both are difficult, but the lighter burden is to preserve our lives and the lives of our children and give them a possible future."

In addition to Fakhry, his wife Sondus, and their children Nasser and Hadeel, my elderly parents also need to leave Gaza for Egypt and then to a safer and more stable place. They will all leave Rafah, where they currently reside, in difficult and miserable conditions. The war has exhausted my family and made them unable to continue in this vortex of war, amidst shortages of food and clean water, and intense and frightening fear of indiscriminate shelling. With the constant threats to Rafah, the fear seems much greater than ever before. My father, Nasser, is over sixty years old, and my mother is in her mid-fifties, and they have lost their jobs since last October and are suffering from a severe financial crisis.

My family names:
Nasser Abualroos
Basma Abualroos
Fakhry Abualroos
Sondus Abualroos-Abuhashem
Nasser Fakhry Abualroos
Hadeel Fakhry Abualroos

In order to facilitate my family's evacuation from Egypt , I'm setting up a GoFundMe campaign to raise € 33,500.

Here is the breakdown of the funds:
• It is estimated that €5,000 will be sufficient to cover the basic needs of my family in Egypt, including their accommodation, food, and other essentials (This equals €1,000 per month).
• A total of 27,000€ has to be allocated to cover the expenses associated with obtaining permits to leave Gaza, as well as crossing fees at Rafah, at the Egypt-Gaza border. This amount breaks down to €6,300 per person.
• A total of 1,500€ will be used to cover GoFundMe transaction fees (2.9% plus $0.30 per donation).

Any donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference to the safety of my family. We'll use the money raised in a transparent and efficient way to make sure every euro goes to keeping them safe.

Thanks for your support, and I'm grateful for any help you can give during this difficult time.

Help me reach my goal and provide safety for my family by sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and colleagues
