As many of you know, my sister Kari Witry died yesterday, July 21. She had been ill for years and unable to work and was living on a very small disability/Medicaid stipend. Her kids helped as much as possible, but none of them are in great financial situations either. We were given a prognosis of three months but she only lived another two weeks so there was no time to get our feet under us. There is no life insurance and no arrangements had been made for her death. The kids are pooling their resources and trying their best but seem to be coming up short at every corner.

If you were a person who was thinking of putting a 20 dollar bill in a sympathy card or just want to help ease things at this difficult time, we would sure appreciate it if you would do it this way.

The kids are working hard to honor their mother, and I’m so proud of them. We are working on setting up a celebration of life in mid-August, and I will share that information when we get it finalized.
This is a tough time for us as a family, and we are working hard to hold each other up. Thanks in advance for your help, caring, and prayers. They are much appreciated.
