This year has not been the nicest to our family. We lost our dad in February unexpectedly and six months later lost our mom to cancer. No child should have to worry about the financial burden of burying one parent but to lose both back to back . We are not the type to ask for help but due to the loss of both parents our family is in a major financial crisis and we are asking for your help.

My sister Kari had to undergo an emergency surgery Monday to correct mobility in the left side of her body. She was suffering from a bulge in her spine, cutting off circulation causing her to lose all function on the left side. The surgery was to remove the bulge in the spine, and hopefully restore functionality back into the arm. She has been forced to be out of work for several weeks leading up to this surgery due to the injury and because of that she has not been able to pay any of her bills.

Along with the prior weeks out of work, and now this major surgery she had she is expected to be out for several more weeks due to recovery with weight restrictions. She will have many follow appointments, therapies, and more before she is able to be released back to work.

She loves her job, and everything about it. She is a single income household and works hard for every bit she gets. She is eager to get back to her co workers, and students she cares for at the daycare she works. She is very loved and missed at her job so not being able to go to work has caused some major holiday blues during this time.
