Help Kari Overcome Cancer and Financial Strain

Hello, my name is Karina, although I am commonly referred to as Kari. In February 2024, I received a diagnosis of triple-negative breast cancer. I had noticed some troubling test results online in December 2023 and had to exert significant effort to secure an appointment with an oncologist. Since then, my journey has been exceptionally challenging. Following months of intensive chemotherapy, I underwent surgery in September 2024. However, just two months later, I detected another lump in the same area. In November, I was given the devastating news that my cancer had recurred — and this time, it was twice the size of the initial tumor. In December, I underwent a complete right mastectomy and initiated radiation treatment. There was a brief period where it seemed like things were improving. Nevertheless, in April, I began to experience chest pain and was promptly taken to the hospital under the suspicion of a blood clot. However, scans revealed a much graver situation: my cancer had returned once more and had spread to my lungs, manifesting as several small nodules. Since then, everything has shifted. The pain has become increasingly difficult to manage, and despite my best efforts, I have persisted in working to cover my expenses and maintain my residence. However, the burden has become overwhelming. I have been in and out of the hospital, and my medical team has now advised me to take a leave of absence from work to concentrate on treatment and recovery. This is a step I never envisioned taking — yet, I am reaching out for assistance. My medical bills have accumulated to over $6,000, and my treatment is only partially covered. I am struggling to meet my rent, medication costs, and basic living needs. If you are able to provide any form of assistance, regardless of the amount, it would have a profound impact.
