Hello -

My name is Kari. People who know me, know that I am an independent and self-sufficient 79 year old woman. I worked for 35 years serving the public and have always tried to help others in need.

Normally, it's extremely difficult for me to ask for help - but in the past few years, I have fallen on difficult times to the point that I could be evicted from where I live. I have recently moved back to Fort Wayne from North Carolina where my husband and I were living when he passed away suddenly. I am still dealing with those events, costs, and chronic health issues.

I desperately need to raise enough money to (1) pay upcoming rent where I now reside, which will give me time to locate a much cheaper residence; (2) pay for moving and storage costs; (3) pay 1st month's rent, security deposit, application fees once residence becomes available; and (4) keep up with current bills.

I realize these are hard times for everyone, and I wouldn't be asking if I didn't genuinely need help. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am forever grateful for your kindness.
