Help Kari and Josh Launch Koshua Cakes

We are Kari and Josh and we are forming Koshua Cakes. Kari loved baking before becoming vegan and spent years rekindling their passion for baking after eating a lot of unpleasant vegan baked goods that weren't that inspiring. Josh loves baked goods, especially Kari's. We believe that vegan cakes and cupcakes should be exciting and delicious.

We recently lost one of our incomes and we keep getting advice to take this time to make a leap and start a business. So, we are starting one we can do together. We are working with Flint Food Works to begin packaging and selling Kari's cake mixes. They are all vegan and very simple to make into delicious, moist cakes that aren't just for vegans.

We will be starting with vanilla and chocolate flavors, which we will be working to get into local grocery stores, selling online, and selling at markets in the area. But it isn't a small feat. We are fundraising because we need to have separate supplies to keep in storage at the farmer's market, ServSafe manager certification, verified nutrition labels, packaging, and the opportunity to expand to offer chocolate cayenne, chocolate espresso, and pumpkin spice varieties.
