Kari has spent years standing up for others — supporting victims of crime, speaking out for justice, and advocating for people she believes have been wrongfully accused. Through her voice on X, her YouTube channel, and her spiritual work supporting women’s emotional and personal growth, she has encouraged many people to find strength, compassion, and truth in difficult circumstances.
Today, she and her children need that same compassion from the community around them.
Kari is a single mother raising two children she adopted — her niece and nephew. Since 2019, they have built their lives together in the home they share. Like many parents, Kari has worked hard to create stability and love for her family while balancing work, advocacy, and her desire to help others.
After COVID, Kari lost her job at a university but continued doing everything she could to keep her household stable. In November, her son — who is on the autism spectrum — began experiencing severe panic attacks before school. Kari later discovered he had not been receiving the services he needed and had been dealing with bullying. Following guidance from his pediatrician, he temporarily began receiving home instruction while the proper supports were put in place.
In December, Kari started a new job. Unfortunately, shortly before Christmas she was unexpectedly terminated after informing her supervisor that she would need to briefly drop off her son for home instruction during her scheduled break. Despite the job being remote and Kari believing she was following the rules, she lost the position.
Since then, she has been doing everything possible to get back on her feet. Kari took part-time work at a grocery store while continuing to search for full-time employment.
There is good news: Kari has secured a new position beginning at the end of March as a Support Coordinator (case manager) helping people with developmental disabilities — work that aligns deeply with her values and her desire to serve others.
However, the financial gap during this transition has left her behind on rent, and eviction proceedings have begun before her new job begins and before her first paycheck arrives.
Kari’s first paycheck is expected on April 14, and with that income she will be able to stabilize again. What she needs right now is help bridging this difficult moment so that she and her children can remain in their home.
Anyone who knows Kari knows how hard it is for her to ask for help. She has spent years supporting others, raising awareness about justice issues, encouraging women through spiritual guidance, and speaking up for people who feel unheard.
Now we are hoping the community she has poured so much into will help support her family during this difficult chapter.
Your donation will help cover overdue rent, legal and court costs associated with the eviction filing, and provide stability for Kari and her children until her new employment income begins.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign can make an enormous difference.
Every act of kindness — large or small — helps bring this family closer to stability again.
Thank you for taking the time to read Kari’s story and for supporting a mother who has spent so much of her life supporting others.
