Hello, my name is Kari Koontz and I'm at a loss for words on what to do or where to turn for help! If anyone knows me, I HATE asking for help.

Monday, January 6th, 2025, my daughter and I were in a TERRIBLE sledding accident. On impact, Harm and I couldn't move. I actually thought we were both paralyzed.

Once we got rushed to the hospital by ambulance, Harmony got cleared with her concussion on Tuesday, January 7th...

As for me...

My spine is broken, my tailbone is broken, and the disks in my back that once had spaces are now shorter and closer together. Not to mention, I can't sit up, can't move my legs they way i need to without an enormous pain from physically therapy. , can't turn or roll, or put my hands above my head... As of right now, I can't do much. Sleeping isn't an option for me, and the pain isn't getting managed the way I have been hoping and praying for.

As of right now, I need to get an X-ray sitting up to determine if I need surgery. So, physical therapy is the only thing they can do in order to get the X-ray that's needed.

This all seems like a nightmare I can't wake up from. I'm a single mother of two beautiful babies. I am their only primary caretaker and provider. With medical bills rising and me not working, I turned to my last option.

If you are not struggling with money as we just had Christmas, I ask for your help. I would NEVER turn to this if I didn't have kids that are relying on this! With medical bills and making sure I can take care of them, it's unbelievably hard.

It's now affecting my mental health with all the worries.
