My name is Kari. I was let go from my job in August of 2025. It was a unforseeable situation. I live in a dying town with my 14-year-old daughter, who is going to muliple specialist to help with a mystery illness. We are not sure what is wrong with her, but we know there is something. She also has seizures that have been getting worse since Sept. I also take care of my disabled mother, and because of the current political climate, she has lost half of her disability, which has also hurt us financially. I haven't been able to find a job as the town is dying and has no public transportation. I had a vehicle, but it got repossessed. The reason I am asking for help is that my landlord wants to sell the house I live in and has started the eviction process. Because she is no longer willing to work with us like she was when I first lost my job, even though she has stated that she would. I have pleaded with her to give us till it is nicer weather-wise, as there is nothing available in our town for shelters. However, that has fallen on deaf ears as she has said it is up to her lawyers now. I want to raise funds to move to a bigger community that has more resources, jobs, and public transportation available. Every little bit helps! I have about 7ish days to be out of the house I live in currently and into something else, either temporarily or permanently.

Initial goals: Any amount we are able to raise will go to helping us relocate to a bigger city with more opportunities and public transportation

If we are blessed with more, Hopefully be able to get a cheap vehicle to make life a little easier. But I know that is not the priority; having a safe place is the first thing!

I know times are very difficult, and I don't like asking for help, but I am at the wits' end and feel like a horrible mother and horrible person for letting my child be placed in this situation
