Karev is my pitsky (husky-pitbull mix), and he’s been my best friend since he was a tiny puppy. He just turned five, and up until now, he’s always been healthy and full of energy. Recently, though, I noticed a new lump growing along his nipple line. It wasn’t there last week, and now it’s already bigger than his other nipples. He’s been a crying and whining a lot more in the last couple days, even when we’re cuddling, and I don’t want him to suffer.

I called the vets near me and the earliest he can get in is next month, unless I do an urgent care visit, which costs more. I’m so stressed and worried that I caught this early, but I might not be able to help him before it gets worse.

I feel like I’m failing him because I can’t help him right away. I’ve called all the local vets, and just the appointment to get him checked out will be expensive, not including whatever treatment he might need after that. I’m already struggling financially, and this unexpected situation has been really stressful. The funds raised will go directly toward Karev’s vet visit and any treatment he might need, whether that’s medication or surgery.

Karev sleeps in my bed every night, watches TV with me, and even dances with me. He’s been by my side through so many tough times, and I want to do everything I can to make sure he’s okay. I want Karev to live a long, happy, and healthy life, and I just want my dog back to being a happy boy all the time.

His (doggy) brother and I are worried about him, and want to get him checked out. Any support, no matter how small, would mean the world to both of us. Thank you so much for reading and for caring about my best friend.
