My name is Karen Jaca, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help in supporting my uncle during one of the most challenging times in our family's life. My uncle, Rafael, a dedicated truck driver, suffered a cardiac arrest while at a truck stop in Mississippi. He was rushed to the nearest hospital, but unfortunately, the medical facility lacks the necessary specialists and equipment to properly assess his brain function and provide the comprehensive care he so desperately needs.

Currently, he remains in the ICU, connected to a ventilator, fighting for his life. Our greatest hope is to bring him closer to his home and his loving family in New Jersey—where his wife and daughters can be by his side as he receives the specialized care he urgently requires.

However, due to his critical condition and the distance, it is impossible to transport him via a ground ambulance. The only option available to ensure he gets the medical attention he needs is via air ambulance transport, which comes with an astronomical cost. Sadly, his insurance does not cover this expense, and we are left to face this overwhelming financial burden.
